In Germany, beer making is serious business. And they’ve got the 500-year old Law–Reinheitsgebot–to prove it. It states that German bier can only use four ingredients: malt, hops, yeast and water. While we love stretching the limits to make delicious beer, we also value the time-honored tradition and simplicity of German beer-making.

 

“Old-world European–style beer was a main inspiration for my exploration of home brewing and from there the creation of Cooper Mountain Ale Works,” says our head brew master and founder Chris Sjölin, “The fun thing about brewing in the traditional German-style and working with only four simple ingredients: malt, hops, yeast, and water, is finding creativity within those limits to create some delicious beer.”

 

So, for Septemberfest, we’re honoring that inspiration and the long, long tradition of German bier by featuring six of our favorite German-styles made right here in the Cooper Mountain Ale Works brewery.

  1. Two ways to enter:

    • Complete all 6 squares on our Septemberfest punchcard for one raffle entry.

    • Participate in social media entry opportunities by following instructions in each post for one raffle entry per post.

  2. Winners will be selected by random drawing on Saturday, October 5.

  3. Winners will be notified by phone or email provided for stamp card entries and via social media message for Instagram entries.

  4. Winners will have 3 days to claim their prize once notified.
